Healthcare Associates of Texas at 546 East Sandy Lake Road #210, Coppell, Texas.

My wife and I have been coming to see Dr. Conn for about two years now along with our two daughters. First the pro, there is only one and that is the girl who checks you out as your are leaving, she is the only polite person you will run into here. Listed below are the issues we have had.
1. Rudeness, the majority of the nurses in this offer have horrible bedside manner, they talk to you like you are overreacting about everything. We took my oldest daughter in for a sore throat. I said that I thought it was strep and the nurse(Morgan) looked at me and said “I think we should let Dr. Conn diagnose her” What!?!?! I do not believe that nurse is there anymore.
2. Lunch time- My wife and I prefer to go here in the early mornings or late afternoons. If you go at lunch you are competing for their attention with what ever lunch they have sitting in one of the rooms between the medical room. To me this is very unprofessional and we should not have to wait while someone is eating at the nurses desk.
3. The nurses desk. Ever wonder what doctors and nurses talk about outside the room? Well you’re in luck, you can here every conversation going on at the desk between the Dr and the nurses. I have heard them make fun of patients, complain about patients and have completely inappropriate conversations for a medical offfice. My wife was called to come in for a yearly physical. While she was waiting(for close to an hour) in the room she overheard her name come up between the Dr and the nurse. In a very rude tone Dr. Conn asked “And why am I seeing her again” when the nurse responded you could hear make an aggravated sigh. My wife has since switched doctors as she has regular tests she has to have done.
5. The lab girl, not sure why she is so busy because you never see anyone in there but man if you have to go see her you get the feeling that you are being a burden. No small talk, no how are you, nothing. Extremely rude.
4. AND THE BIGGEST PROBLEM!!!! TIME.
If you make your appointment for 10:00am expect to be seen about 11:15. They have no respect for patients time. My wife and I were both in there before Christmas. We waited in the front area for about ten minutes and then waited for 45 mins in the room before I had to leave my wife to head back to work. This was not a one time issue. EVERY time we have gone for any of us we have never gotten out of there in less than an hour and a half. And it’s not because they are stacked with patients, the majority of the time the Dr is at the nurses just talking about stuff that has nothing to do with the patients.
After two years we had enough, my wife and daughters now go to a Dr in Irving which is farther away but they can still be seen and back to school in half the time they would have had they gone to Dr. Conn. I my self stopped going in February after an hour and 20min wait. I have only needed to see a Dr once since then and went to CareNow.
Not sure who is in charge of this office but it’s time for a change up. We have been telling everyone we know to avoid this office when looking for a new doctor.
